A DREAM (Bill Fay)
I had a dream. In my dream was an ocean full of drowning people. There was a rock that came up out of this ocean. Some people crawled up on that rock and got to safety
As I watched, 10 percent of the people on the rock became active in making ropes and ladders, getting near the edge, trying to pull others up on the rock. But 90 percent became very active in their rock gardens, their rock music, their rock jobs, their rock lives. They had a lot of rock meetings where they spent lots of time developing their programs to go back to the ocean—but they never went. The thought that kept coming through all the time in this dream was, “Could they have forgotten that they themselves were once in the sea?” A small group of people who seemed to be the leaders bothered me even more. They spent time trying to get up higher on the rock. It seemed they didn’t want to get near the edge because it was risky down there. The dead, the diseased, the lost—they were down there. But the group on the rock spent more time cloistered in false security on the higher parts of the rock. Yet every one of them heard a voice say, “Will you come? Will you help Me?”
WILL WE TAKE A RISK?
In my dream, the rock was the cross of Calvary. The voice they heard was Jesus Christ, calling you and me to come. There’s only one thing that remains, and that is whether or not we will. The question is, will you and I be different? Will we be willing to hear the voice and take a risk and speak out in order to rescue others? If your answer is yes, pray these words right now:
"God, make me Your willing servant. I have been wrong to be silent. Every day, every moment, I will endeavor to share You with others"
(Remember: Success is not leading someone to Christ. Success is acting out your Christian life, sharing the gospel, and trusting God for the results)

Easy believism is a somewhat derogatory term used by opponents of the view that one needs only to believe in Jesus in order to be saved. From this they conclude that those who hold to sola fide (“faith alone”) teach that no corresponding need exists for a committed life of Christian discipleship as proof of salvation; however, that is not what sola fide means. True faith in Christ will always lead to a changed life. Another common usage of the term easy believism is in regards to those who believe they’re saved because they prayed a prayer—with no real conviction of sin and no real faith in Christ. Praying a prayer is easy—thus the term easy believism—but there is more to salvation than mouthing words. Salvation is certainly free, but, at the same time, it costs us everything. We are to die to ourselves as we change into the likeness of Christ. Where easy believism fails is its lack of recognition that a person with faith in Jesus will lead a progressively changed life. Don't go to a Church where these five things are preached
FYI: There’s some churches you don’t need to pray about leaving - just leave
FYI: Not every sermon that mentions Jesus is preaching the gospel
FYI: Not every preacher with a bible in his hand is submitted to its authority
FYI: In these last days deception doesn’t always come dressed in rebellion sometimes it comes in a 3 piece suit with a microphone
1), a gospel of self esteem if the message is always about you your greatness your dreams your breakthroughs and never about the cross the blood or your need for repentance, that’s not the gospel, that’s self help with Christian language - Paul said we preach Christ crucified not Christ customized 1 Cor 1:23 - Don’t go to a church that teaches you to love yourself more instead of dying to yourself
2), a prosperity first gospel - if every sermon is a lesson on how to unlock your next level or activate your harvest - friend you're not in a church - you're in a religious pyramid scheme - Jesus didn't die to make you rich - He died to make you righteous - beware of those who see Godliness as a means to financial gain - 1 Tim 6:5 - that kind of preaching doesn't prepare you for heaven - it traps you in greed
3), a God without wrath - if your church never mentions hell judgement or the coming wrath of God, it's not being kind, it's being cowardly - a God without wrath, is a God who doesn't care about justice - and a gospel without wrath makes the cross unnecessary - what did Jesus say, do not fear those who kill the body, fear Him who can destroy both soul and body in hell, Matt 10:28 - don't go to a church that's more afraid of offending man than dishonoring God
4), a message that excuses sin - when sin is minimized, holiness is mocked and everything is grace, grace, grace without truth - you are in danger - yes God is merciful, but He is also holy - if your church is blessing what God condemns, whether it's sexual immorality pride gossip or greed, get out, that's not compassion that's corruption - Tit 2:12 says the grace of God teaches us to say no to unGodliness, not to tolerate it in the name of love
5), a man centered worship experience - if worship is more about lights moods and emotional hype than about reverence, truth and God's glory - run - if the preacher is the main attraction and not the word, if the goal is a vibe instead of a transformed heart, you are being entertained not edified - God is not looking for spectators, He's seeking worshippers in spirit and in truth, John 4:23-24 - don't go to a church that feeds your flesh while starving your soul - don't sit under a message that sounds good but can't save - don't sacrifice eternity on the alter of comfort, because the worst kind of deception is the kind that comes wrapped in a bible verse out of context
Have you seen any of these signs where you worship - it's time to test every spirit, measure every message and cling to what is true
